How Astrix is Reshaping Identity Management in the AI Era – On CyberHut Podcast

Dana Katz November 19, 2025

In this episode of CyberHut TV’s vendor introduction series, host Simon Moffat interviews Alon Jackson, CEO and Co-Founder of Astrix Security, to discuss the emerging challenges of managing artificial identities in modern enterprises. As AI agents and virtual employees increasingly outnumber human workers, traditional identity management systems struggle to keep up. Astrix Security is addressing this gap with a new approach to identity governance for non-human identities.

Q: What problem is Astrix Security aiming to solve?

Alon: Enterprises are moving toward a workforce where AI agents and virtual employees may outnumber humans. These agents perform tasks like writing emails, generating code, taking meeting notes, and more—often faster, cheaper, and with fewer errors than humans. The challenge is that traditional identity management systems weren’t built to handle these non-human identities. Astrix Security’s mission is to create what we call an “Active Directory for non-human identities,” enabling organizations to manage ownership, lifecycle, and behavior of AI agents that cannot be legally accountable for their actions.

Q: Why is managing AI agents such a complex problem?

Alon: AI agents are fundamentally different from traditional software or robotic process automation. Traditional systems execute predictable, repetitive tasks, but modern AI agents learn and adapt over time. This makes behavior analysis and anomaly detection much more complex. Additionally, legacy identity protocols, single sign-on, and 2FA systems are designed for humans, where ownership and accountability are straightforward. For AI agents, you need clear ownership, governance, and lifecycle management because these identities can act autonomously and make decisions that affect enterprise systems.

Q: How is this challenge different from past identity issues?

Alon: The difference is speed, scale, and unpredictability. In the past, non-human identities—like RPA bots—followed strict rules and predictable patterns. Modern AI agents evolve, learn from data, and can perform the same task in multiple ways. This unpredictability makes traditional approaches to identity management insufficient. Enterprises need tools that can track and analyze behavior, enforce policies, and maintain ownership over these evolving identities.

Q: How is Astrix Security addressing these challenges?

Alon: We’re building a platform that focuses on three main areas: identity governance, lifecycle management, and behavioral analysis. First, we establish ownership for AI agents—linking them to human owners who are responsible for their creation and behavior. Second, we manage their lifecycle, from provisioning to retirement, ensuring policies and access controls are enforced throughout. Third, we analyze behavior patterns to identify anomalies and verify identity, rather than relying solely on credentials like passwords or tokens. This approach allows organizations to scale AI safely while maintaining accountability.

Q: What role does behavioral analysis play in managing AI identities?

Alon: Behavioral analysis is critical because AI agents don’t have traditional human credentials like passwords or biometrics. Instead, we identify and monitor them based on how they act, learn, and interact within the system. This makes anomaly detection more sophisticated and allows enterprises to proactively manage risks, ensuring AI behavior aligns with organizational policies.

Q: How does Astrix Security’s approach benefit enterprises?

Alon: By properly managing AI agents, organizations can safely deploy autonomous systems, increase productivity, and innovate faster. Enterprises gain control over identity governance, reduce operational risk, and maintain accountability even as AI-driven operations scale. In addition, this approach ensures privacy and security are preserved when AI agents handle sensitive data, enabling businesses to fully leverage AI capabilities without compromising safety or compliance.

Q: What does the future of AI identity management look like?

Alon: The number of non-human identities in enterprises will only grow, and managing them will become increasingly critical. Enterprises will need systems that can merge human and AI identities, enforce policies, and track behavior at scale. Astrix Security aims to provide the foundational tools to manage this future, enabling organizations to embrace AI responsibly while mitigating risks.

Q: Why is this the right time to focus on AI identity management?

Alon: We’re at a pivotal moment where AI adoption is accelerating. Without proper identity management, organizations risk security gaps, operational failures, and compliance issues. By tackling these challenges now, we can establish governance standards, lifecycle processes, and behavioral insights that will form the backbone of safe AI deployment in the enterprise.

In this discussion, Simon and Alon explore how AI agents are transforming the enterprise landscape and why identity governance for non-human entities is becoming a critical business priority. Astrix Security is pioneering this space with tools designed to manage AI identities safely, ensuring organizations can leverage the benefits of AI while maintaining accountability, security, and operational control.
